The BugScents Sentry Pro Bed Bug Detector is a scientifically developed, slim and discreet professional-grade monitoring device designed for rapid and reliable detection of bed bugs. Powered by a patented pheromone attractant, it actively lures bed bugs into the trap instead of relying on chance encounters, enabling earlier identification and more effective control.
Created by entomology experts, the wafer-thin detector fits discreetly under beds, behind headboards or anywhere bed bugs hide, making it ideal for pest controllers, hotels, care homes and residential environments. Re-usable, low-profile and easy to install, Sentry Pro provides a powerful, evidence-based tool for ongoing monitoring and early intervention.

User Guide
1. Assembly
-
Assemble the detector following the included instructions.
2. Installation
-
Position the detector at the head end of the bed, close to the headboard where bed bugs are most active.
-
The slim, wafer-thin profile allows it to fit discreetly under beds, behind headboards, or vertically on furniture.
-
Ensure the glue board is positioned on the “ceiling” inside the device so bed bugs are caught on their backs.
3. Recommended Quantities & Placement
-
Use two traps per bed for best results.
-
In hotels or multi-room environments, place detectors under beds, behind headboards, or in adjacent rooms for perimeter monitoring.
-
Detection is often quickest in occupied rooms where bed bugs are more active.
4. Attractant & Glue Board Replacement
-
Replace the pheromone attractant every 3 months after opening.
-
Replace the glue board after 3 months, when full, or when the expiry date is reached.
-
Dispose of used glue boards in an outdoor waste bin.
-
Store unused components in a cool, dry place to prevent the glue from degrading.
5. Safety Information
-
Safe to use around pets and children.
-
Contains no insecticides.
-
Designed purely for monitoring and detection.
6. Usage for Pest Controllers
-
Install detectors in suspected rooms and neighbouring rooms (above, below, and beside) when conducting inspections.
-
Leave detectors in place for 72–96 hours for optimal detection.
-
In unoccupied rooms, detection may take longer due to reduced bed bug movement.
-
After treatment, leave at least two detectors in place for 2–4 weeks to monitor for newly hatched nymphs.
-
Suitable for continuous monitoring between routine visits.
7. Usage for Hotels & Accommodation Providers
-
Place detectors discreetly at the head end of beds — one on each side of a double bed.
-
Hide the detector under the bed or behind the headboard while maintaining easy access for inspection.
-
The attractant acts as a beacon to intercept hitchhiking bed bugs carried in luggage or clothing.
-
Inspect detectors regularly (e.g., monthly) and replace attractant and glue boards as needed.
-
Helps reduce the risk of guest complaints, protects brand reputation, and lowers treatment costs through early detection.
